Nine IPOs in one week is enough to make even calm investors sit up with their morning chai.

From July 27, India’s primary market will see a crowded run of new offers. The biggest names include Manipal Health Enterprises, Juniper Green Energy, and MV Electrosystems. Together, these three mainboard issues aim to raise up to ₹11,365 crore.

That is not small change. For retail investors, it means more choice, but also more homework. A busy IPO week can tempt people into applying first and thinking later.

Manipal leads the mainboard rush

The largest issue in this pack belongs to Manipal Health Enterprises. Its IPO opens on July 29 and closes on July 31. The company plans to raise about ₹9,275.22 crore.

Here is the simple split. The IPO includes a fresh issue worth ₹8,000 crore. That means new shares will be sold, and the company gets that money.

It also includes an offer for sale worth ₹1,275.22 crore. In that part, existing shareholders sell their shares. The money goes to them, not to the company.

That distinction matters. A fresh issue can fund expansion, debt reduction, or business needs. An offer for sale mainly gives current investors an exit route.

Healthcare IPOs usually attract attention because hospitals sit in a familiar space. Everyone understands rising medical bills. But investors still need to check margins, debt, growth plans, and valuations.

Green energy and electronics join

Juniper Green Energy opens its IPO on July 30 and closes on August 3. The company plans to raise ₹1,800 crore through a fresh issue.

There is no offer for sale in this issue. So the entire IPO amount will go to the company, after issue expenses. That makes the use of funds more central to the investment case.

Green energy has become a strong market theme in India. Solar, wind, storage, and transmission all need serious capital. But investors must separate policy excitement from business strength.

Power projects can take time to build and earn returns. Delays, tariffs, interest costs, and payment cycles can change the story quickly.

MV Electrosystems also opens on July 30 and closes on August 3. Its IPO size stands at ₹290 crore, again as a fresh issue.

The smaller size does not make it less important. Electronics and electrical systems sit inside India’s manufacturing push. But smaller companies can carry sharper risks.

For investors, the question is basic. Can the company grow without burning too much cash? And can it protect margins when competition rises?

SME board stays busy

The SME segment also has a packed schedule. Propshop Events & Exhibitions and Advance Technoforge open on July 27. Both close on July 29.

Poojaa Precision Engg opens on July 28. H.R. Hygiene Products opens on July 29. Dhaval Packaging follows on July 30, while Fusion Klassroom Edutech opens on July 31.

SME IPOs can look exciting because they often come with smaller issue sizes. But they also need more caution from retail investors.

Liquidity can be thin after listing. That means buying and selling may not be as easy as in larger stocks. Price swings can also be much sharper.

A kirana store owner or salaried investor applying through a demat account may see listing gains online. But the real test starts after listing day.

If business details look unclear, it is better to wait. Missing one IPO hurts less than getting trapped in a poor-quality stock.

Seven listings will test appetite

The coming week will also bring seven market debuts. Lohia Corp, Indo-MIM, and Xtranet Technologies are expected to list on July 30.

These three mainboard stocks will list on the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange. Their listing performance will show how strong demand really is.

The SME side has its own lineup. Gulf Lloyds (India) is expected to list on July 27. Metalic Technoforge is lined up for July 28.

Shree Balaji (Mala) Textiles is expected on July 29. Silverstorm Parks & Resorts is scheduled for July 31.

Listing day often gets the most attention. But one-day gains can hide the bigger picture. Good companies need time to prove their numbers.

Investors should look beyond grey market chatter. That unofficial premium can change quickly and does not guarantee actual listing performance.

Why this IPO wave matters

This IPO rush says something larger about market confidence. Companies come to market when they believe investors have appetite.

It also tells us that promoters and early investors see a window. When markets stay firm, more businesses try to raise money or sell holdings.

For ordinary investors, the opportunity is real. IPOs can offer access to growing businesses before they build a long listed record.

But the risk is just as real. A strong brand name, a fashionable sector, or a crowded subscription book does not ensure returns.

The smarter approach is boring but useful. Read the issue size, fresh issue portion, offer for sale share, business model, debt, and valuation.

If the money goes into the company, ask what it will do with it. If old shareholders are selling, ask why they are exiting now.

The next few days will test India’s IPO mood. If listings hold up, more companies may rush in. If they disappoint, investors may become choosier.

Either way, retail investors should not treat this week like a lottery counter. A good IPO deserves patience, not panic. The market will always offer another chance, but capital once lost takes time to rebuild.
