Indian football fans have a long night ahead, and not the kind where one match carries the whole bill.

On June 25, the FIFA World Cup 2026 serves up 6 group games on Indian time. Some teams chase top spot. Some chase survival. One side, Haiti, already knows its campaign is done.

The sharpest pull comes at 3:30 am IST, when Brazil meet Scotland in Miami. Scotland have never beaten Brazil in international football. That one line tells you both the romance and the problem.

Brazil carry history into Miami

Brazil and Scotland have met 10 times in international football. Brazil have won 8. The other 2 ended in draws. Scotland are still searching for that first win.

At the World Cup, this will be their 5th meeting. Brazil won 3 of the previous 4, while 1 finished level. That is a heavy record to carry into a knockout-race match.

Scotland will look to Scott McTominay, Billy Gilmour, Andy Robertson and John McGinn for bite and order. They need a midfield scrap, not a beauty contest.

Brazil, of course, have different weapons. Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Endrick give them speed, flair and finishing threat. If Scotland leave space, Brazil will punish it quickly.

The probable Brazil XI includes Alisson, Danilo, Eder Militao, Marquinhos, Bruno Guimaraes, Joao Gomes, Lucas Paqueta, Rodrygo, Endrick and Vinicius Junior. Scotland could start with Angus Gunn, Robertson, McTominay, Gilmour, McGregor, McGinn, Che Adams and Lawrence Shankland.

Morocco put unbeaten run on line

At the same 3:30 am IST slot, Morocco face Haiti in Atlanta. On paper, this looks straightforward. Football, as we know, enjoys embarrassing paper.

Morocco are unbeaten in 39 international matches. That is not a lucky streak anymore. It speaks of structure, confidence and a team that knows how to avoid bad nights.

They sit on 4 points in Group C and remain in the race for a strong finish. Haiti have lost both their matches and are already out of the tournament.

That makes the match tricky in another way. Haiti have nothing left to protect. Morocco have plenty to lose, including rhythm before the next round.

Morocco will expect Brahim Diaz to create and finish chances. Achraf Hakimi and Noussair Mazraoui give them quality from wide areas. Haiti will look to captain and goalkeeper Johny Placide to keep the contest alive.

Group B top spot is open

Before the 3:30 am matches, Switzerland and Canada meet in a proper Group B decider. Both teams have 4 points. Canada lead because of a better goal difference.

The winner tops the group. If that sounds like a small detail, it is not. In World Cups, the difference between first and second can shape the next 10 days.

Switzerland bring tournament experience and Granit Xhaka’s control in midfield. Canada bring speed, sharp transitions and Jonathan David’s finishing.

These teams have played only 1 international match before, which Canada won. This will be their first World Cup meeting, so there is little shared history to lean on.

The likely Switzerland XI has Gregor Kobel, Manuel Akanji, Ricardo Rodriguez, Michel Aebischer, Xhaka, Remo Freuler, Dan Ndoye, Breel Embolo and Ruben Vargas. Canada could line up with Maxime Crepeau, Alistair Johnston, Moise Bombito, Tajon Buchanan, Stephen Eustaquio, Jonathan David and Cyle Larin.

Qatar and Bosnia chase first win

The other Group B game has Bosnia and Herzegovina against Qatar. Both teams have 1 point. Both need a first win to keep their campaign alive.

This is their first senior international meeting. They have played 2 friendlies before, with Qatar winning 1 and the other ending in a draw.

Bosnia will lean on Edin Dzeko, whose experience still matters in tense matches. Ermedin Demirovic gives them another route to goal.

Qatar’s hopes sit largely with Akram Afif, a forward who can turn quiet spells into chances. For Qatar, this is also about pride after a difficult group start.

The possible Bosnia XI includes Vasilj, Dedik, Kolasinac, Tahirovic, Memic, Dzeko and Demirovic. Qatar could start with Abunada, Boualem Khoukhi, Pedro Miguel, Al-Brake, Boudiaf, Edmilson, Abdulrisag and Afif.

Group A reaches its hard edge

Group A has 2 matches with very different pressure. Mexico face Czech Republic, while South Africa take on South Korea.

Mexico have 6 points and have already qualified for the knockouts. They are top of the group and unbeaten in the tournament so far.

Czech Republic have only 1 point from 2 matches. They need a win to keep their next-round hopes alive. A draw may not be enough.

Mexico and Czech Republic meet at senior international level for the first time here. As an independent nation, Czech Republic beat Mexico 2-1 in a friendly in 2000.

Mexico will look to Santiago Gimenez for goals. Czech Republic need Patrik Schick to deliver in a match where chances may be limited.

The South Africa versus South Korea match is even cleaner in terms of stakes. South Korea have 3 points and need only a draw to progress. South Africa have 1 point and must win.

This will be the first senior meeting between the two teams. South Korea’s captain Son Heung-min remains the headline name, while South Africa will need Teboho Mokoena to control midfield and set the tempo.

For Indian viewers, this is the kind of World Cup night that rewards stubbornness. Six matches, three groups, and very little dead rubber. By morning, some teams will have a clear road ahead. Others will be packing bags, wondering which one chance, one save, or one loose pass changed everything.
